OLD CRESCENTARIAN SOCIETY

Old Crescentarian society
Composition:
The Society shall be composed of the old students (Boys and Girls) of the Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Shadman Colony. Lahore
Aims:
The main aim of the society shall be the formation of a bond of union among the old students of the Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Shadman colony . Lahore and maintenance of the interest in the prestige of the institution. it may promote projects connected with the welfare of its members as well as the institution.
Executive Committee:
The affairs of the society shall be managed by the Executive Committee constituting of the following.
a.
Honorary Chairman: Any trustee nominated by the Board of Trustees.
b.
Staff Advisors: A senior member of the staff nominated by the chairman, in consultation with the executive Body, at least one from each campus.
c.
President: To be elected by the general body. (Open Seat)
d.
Vice-president: To be elected by the General Body. (Open Seat)
e.
Secretary General: To be elected by the General Body (Boys Seat)
f.
Secretary: To be elected by the General Body (Girls Seat)
g.
Joint Secretaries: To be elected by the General Body, One from each campus. (Boys / Girls)
h.
Finance Secretaries: To be elected by the General Body, one from each campus. (Boys/Girls)
i.
Additional Secretaries: To be elected by the General Body, one from each campus. (Boys/Girls)
j.
Co-ordination Secretaries: To be elected by the General body, one from each campus. (Boys/Girls)
k.
Other Members of Executive Committees: There shall be two separate Executive committees (Boys/Girls) consisting of the Ex-office bearers and at least one member from each session and not more than two from any session for representing the old students of each campus.
l.
Associate Member: The executive committee shall have the power to opt as associate members among Ex-Masters/Mistresses of the institution and such well wishers of the institution, who can promote the aims of the Society. However associate members shall have no voting power.
ELIGIBILITY FOR OFFICE BEARERS
PRESIDENT:
The candidate must be a life member for at least 25 years, an executive member for at least three years, and office bearer for at least two tenures and must have worked on one major position (Vice-president/Secretary General/Secretary), Each of the above mentioned pre requisites have to be satisfied separately of each other.
VICE-PRESIDENT:
The candidate must be a life member for at least 20 years, an executive member for at least three years and an office bearer for at least two tenures. Each of the above mentioned pre requisites have to be satisfied separately of each other.
SECRETARY GENERAL:
He must be a life member for at least 15 years, an executive member for at least three years and an office bearer for at least one tenure. Each of the above mentioned pre requisites have to be satisfied separately of each other.
SECRETARY:
She must be a life member for at least 10 years, an executive member for at least three years and an office bearer for at least one tenure. Each of the above mentioned pre requisites have to be satisfied separately of each other.
JOINT SECRETARIES/FINANCE SECRETARIES:
The candidate must be a life member for at least 5 years and an executive member for at least 3 years.
ADDITIONAL SECRETARIES/CO-ORDINATION SECRETARIES:
The candidate must be a life member and an executive member for at least 3 years.
EXECUTIVE MEMBERS:
The candidate must be a life member.
NOTE:
The joint, Finance, Additional & the Coordination Secretaries shall report to the secretary General/Secretary of their respective campus.
TENURE:
The office bearers ( President, Vice-President, Secretary General, Secretary, Joint Secretaries, Finance Secretaries, Additional Secretaries and Co-ordination Secretaries) shell be elected for a period of three years. The members of the Executive Committee shall be taken from each session for the duration of one year.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS:
The Executive committee shall have the power to appoint as associate members among Ex-masters/Mistresses of the institution and such well wishers of the institution, who can promote the aims of the Society. However associate members shall have no voting power.
SUB-COMMITTEES:
The Executive committee may appoint sub-committees from amongst the members and the associate members of the society for carrying out any projects.
VACANCIES:
Vacancies of the office bearers and executive members of the Executive committee occasioned by the death or inability to serve may provisionally be filled up by the Executive Committee.
REMOVAL:
Any executive member or office bearer who remains absent in three consecutive meetings of the Executive Committee without any intimation, may be removed from the Executive Committee, Ex-office Bearers will remain the life time executives, however their names will be removed from the mailing list if they are unable to attend the meetings of the Society, owing to their professional/personal commitments. The above removal shall be authorized by the executive committee only.
RESIGNATION:
Any office bearer or member of the executive Committee, who wishes to resign, shall address the resignation to the Executive Committee and serve a copy of the same to the President/Secretary General. The Executive Committee shall have the power to decide on the matter.
